Made in Italy Day | The Italian Way to Sustainable Chemistry

15 April, 2025

On the occasion of the National Made in Italy Day, proclaimed by the Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, Esseco Industrial celebrates the value of Italian know-how applied to chemistry. Our industrial story began in Milan in the 1920s, has been rooted in San Martino di Trecate (NO) since 1969, and today spans 10 countries with 8 manufacturing facilities.

An Italian family-owned business led by the Nulli family for four generations—now joined by the fifth in training—Esseco Industrial employs around 750 people and generates an average annual turnover of over €600 million. We develop and manufacture advanced solutions in organic and inorganic chemistry for key sectors such as agriculture, food, automotive, animal feed, and winemaking.

Over 80% of our production takes place in Italy, from where we export more than 60% of what we produce. This is our contribution to the Made in Italy brand: a tangible commitment that includes the revitalization of former industrial sites, brought back to life through investment, research, and sustainability.

The energy transition is a fundamental part of our industrial model: in our Italian facilities, we generate more than 75% of the electricity we consume, 65% of which is CO₂-free and 55% from renewable sources.

In a global context marked by instability and rising energy costs, a united vision for Italian industrial system is essential to meet current and future challenges. Esseco Industrial is ready to do its part—promoting a sustainable form of chemistry that combines innovation, responsibility, and competitiveness.
