In an increasingly complex industrial environment, resilience alone is not enough. We must be able to evolve.
The chemical industry is undergoing a period of profound transformation, marked by prolonged instability in energy and raw material markets, growing competitive pressures and differing economic conditions across the world.
In this environment, competitiveness depends on the ability to invest in energy efficiency and self-generation, innovate and identify new opportunities for growth. It also relies on industrial consolidation, through the integration of complementary production operations and the development of synergies. This is the direction Esseco Industrial is pursuing through new development initiatives and ongoing industrial projects.
These topics were at the heart of the third Esseco Industrial Meeting of 2026, held in Peschiera del Garda on 26 and 27 October, bringing together management teams from across the Holding, in the presence of shareholders Francesco Nulli (CEO of Esseco Industrial) and Piero Nulli (Chairman of Esseco Group).
The meeting was opened by Roberto Vagheggi, General Manager of Esseco Industrial, who reviewed the economic outlook, business performance and strategic priorities. David Colella, Head of Marketing Strategy, explored the potential of artificial intelligence to support commercial activities and business development, while Annalisa Montagnani, Energy Manager, provided an analysis of energy market trends.
The second day focused on sales strategies, growth opportunities and customer relationships, with contributions from Giuseppe Falsiroli (CEO of Esseco Italy), Filippo Coffele (General Director of Altair Chemical), Per Ove Jakobsen (CEO of ADDCON) and James Findlay (CEO of Esseco UK), who shared updates and perspectives from their respective companies.
Beyond the topics discussed and the strategic priorities addressed, four principles continue to guide our approach to change: Be brave. Be curious. Be innovative. Be proactive.
Courage in decision-making, curiosity about new perspectives, innovation and initiative: this is how we aim to tackle today’s challenges and build tomorrow’s opportunities.
