On the occasion of Axpo Italia’s 25th anniversary celebration, held at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy in Rome, our General Manager, Roberto Vagheggi, spoke on behalf of Esseco Industrial, invited as a case study among companies leading the energy transition.
As an Axpo client for over 15 years, with active Power Purchase Agreements, we have built a long-standing partnership that has enabled us to cover over 55% of the electricity needed at our production sites in Italy using renewable sources. This milestone has been achieved through targeted investments in photovoltaics and hydropower.
In his speech, Eng. Vagheggi also addressed the challenges of decarbonizing thermal energy consumption, emphasizing the company’s commitment to exploring alternative solutions such as hydrogen and biogas, key elements in further reducing the environmental impact of our industrial operations.
