A 13% reduction in Scope 1 emissions, a 27% decrease in market-based Scope 2 emissions, a 22% increase in renewable energy self-generation, and the capture of CO2 from production processes and cogeneration for reuse in products are among the key achievements reached by Esseco Group in 2024.

These figures and objectives are outlined in the Esseco Group Sustainability Report 2024, of which Esseco Industrial represents the industrial holding company for the chemical sector, confirming an increasingly concrete pathway towards an efficient, responsible and long-term industrial model.

For Esseco Group, sustainability continues to be a tangible part of everyday industrial operations: from energy efficiency to circular economy initiatives, from people’s safety to reducing environmental impact across the entire value chain.

In 2024, the Group also completed the full reporting of Scope 3 emissions for the first time, further strengthening its decarbonization pathway.

Important results were also achieved in resource management, with a 6.1% reduction in water consumption and a 17% decrease in the pollutant load of wastewater discharges.

On the social side, 97% of the Group’s employees are hired on permanent contracts, while investments in training and safety contributed to a significant reduction in workplace injuries: -37% in the chemical sector and -81% in the winemaking division.
